You may recognize the purple iris photograph I posted a few days ago on my other blog. This is one of the background layers for a mandala that I’m working on. The gessoboard is 30 x 30 inches and I’m loving working BIG! I have more process photos of this, but I will save them until it is done.

Thank you! My simple paintings series has been really helpful for me. So has the big community mandala that I did with my church. I really am excited for doing some big pieces. I’m thinking my mandala/flowers mashups are starting to go where I want them too. It’s exciting!
